If you purchase two or more tickets for different locations, make sure there is at least one hour between consecutive time slots.
For example, if your first time slot is from 17:00 to 18:00, choose 19:00 to 20:00 PM for your next time slot.

Sales of the Early Bird combination tickets for all three locations will start on Wednesday, 14 October at 16:00 CET. Regular ticket sales will begin on Tuesday, 20 October at 12:00 CET.

Good to know: tickets will be available to purchase right up until the day of the event!

A group ticket is valid for 5 people. The entire group must enter at the same time. 

If your group is not complete when your time slot starts, we can only allow the people who are present to enter at that time. The missing members cannot enter later using the same group ticket.

No. Tickets cannot be cancelled after purchase and no refunds will be issued. Tickets cannot be resold or transferred.

Night of the Castle, taking place on 20 November, is a pilot edition. The foundation is using this event to test the concept and explore the potential for an annual autumn event celebrating heritage. If the pilot is successful, Night of the Castle could expand to include other castles, country houses and historic estates across the Netherlands from 2027 onwards.

With Night of the Castle, Stichting Dag van het Kasteel is introducing a new way to experience heritage. You can look forward to evening trails, stories and legends, light and sound, and activities inspired by the history of each location.

Each venue will develop its own programme, with its unique history at the heart of the experience. As darkness falls, stories, historical figures, events and legends come to life in new and exciting ways.

Duivenvoorde Castle in Voorschoten:
A forbidden love. A castle full of secrets. And an escape that could change everything…

Oud Wassenaar Castle
Oud Wassenaar Castle is full of hidden codes, not on paper, but in marble, wood and plasterwork. This house was built like a social code, waiting to be deciphered by those who look closely enough.

Zoeken for clues hidden throughout the castle’s rooms. You will learn to read what the walls are saying: how a ceiling points in a certain direction, why a table is laid in a particular way, and why a clock strikes at a specific time.

Whispers have it that, during the inauguration party, a guest saw something through a peephole that they were never meant to see. Whether that is true is for you to discover.
